LOADED FLATBED OVERTURNED
This is probably one of my favorite jobs. I had it posted on the old site and I thought it earned a second look. This was the kind of job that took patience and teamwork. We used alot of both. The equipment used was My 75 ton rotator, Jim Schlier in his 1040 Century and our 35 ton Vulcan. The Rotator was set up to work off of the side to lift and hold the load together. The 1040 and the 35 ton were first set up one in front of the truck and one behind. That was to get the load of lumber to go back against the trailer floor and help get the lifting straps in place. once the rotator had the 4 straps in place then the other 2 trucks were placed in the road. The rotator lifted alowly while the other 2 trucks worked at pulling the load against the floor of the trailer and pulling the trailer over. Once the truck and trailer were on its wheels the 1040 was used to winch it out of the ditch. The rotator and the Vulcan held it from overturning again until it was on the roadway. The Vulcan was then used to tow the unit to the lumber yard and unloaded. I was very happy with the way the job went. The customer was happy that we did not unload it. It was going to get pressure treated and if the load was taken apart it ads alot of work to there part.
